Information on the workgroup semiconductor-epitaxy

The aim of the Semiconductor Epitaxy Group is to develop semiconductor-based devices, which will have revolutionary impact on the information communication technology society of the future. We are using high-quality crystal growth and nanofabrication techniques to explore novel properties of classical and non-classical light emitters. We are conducting innovative material research in typical compound semiconductors to realize unique laser concepts for cutting-edge sensing and display applications. As one major task, we design semiconductor quantum dot devices with superior emission properties for advanced quantum information technologies in the application relevant wavelength ranges.
