Chair of semiconductor quantum-optics

The Chair of Semiconductor Optics deals with the following research topics:

  • Quantum optical properties of semiconductor nanostructures (quantum dots, quantum dot molecules)
  • Development of single photon sources and semiconducting entangled photon sources
  • Microlaser: coherence properties and photon statistics
  • Resonator quantum electrodynamics in semiconductors
  • III-V semiconductor epitaxy using MOVPE (arsenides, phosphides, nitrides)
  • Vertical emitting laser (VCSEL) in the red spectral range
  • Optically pumped semiconductor wafer lasers (OP-SDL, VECSEL) in the red spectral range
